Hello and welcome to Coastal Alabama's Highway Ninety Eight Radio. Rick McCand behind the microphone. We've got the latest breaking news, extended weather forecast, and great music coming up live, broadcasting from the Blue Ran Media Studios here in Golf Shores, Alabama.
SPEAKER_10I learned if you wanna eat breakfast in the morning, be in the kitchen by 6 a.m. Learn by September that you better have your corny and best bass bait is a baby brim. How to cuss, how to pray, drive a truck and bail hair on my back, roll resin. Burning out sticks, and I'm blue dick. Those team guitars and those old is put harder colours on my cane scratch and blackberry triggers and all winners don't play my phone.
SPEAKER_17Yeah, it's the backwards with a working man's degree.
SPEAKER_19Mobile Bay Patrol.
SPEAKER_18And here we are, another Monday morning along the Alabama Gold Coach. Hope that you all enjoyed your weekend. I know I did, and unfortunately that included doing some work, but you know what they think? You get what you get, and uh for me work, work, work. But uh Monday morning here we are, and we got a lot to be thankful for. We got a lot on the program today. We have so many events happening. You know, you think summer is a bottle over, but realistically, here along the Alabama Gulf Coast, things are reviving up year-round, and uh when one season ends, another one begins, and that just brings other activities, whether it's concerts, indoor, outdoor, or uh uh festivals and fairs. This is festival and fair time skills. So take advantage of it. We have uh great music, of course, today, and as always I've got that latest pretended weather forecast. And I'm gonna tell you about a brand new water park. Not too far from it. And if you water park, or you might be interested in that. And we're gonna tell you about where to get from great. We don't know where all that can come from. Local from your neighbor, your your local farmer, your local butcher, your local uh vegetable thing. I think that's the best product that you can buy. I will uh later on today tell you about a few other things that are happening, special events and uh whatnot. But right now I do want to give you some music. We got plenty of that happening, and I'll be back here in just a few moments.
SPEAKER_11I've been finding I swear I can fix anything, anything by me. I've been putting my heart through heaven, and I don't wanna think about anything, anything by me.
SPEAKER_10Just give me time, I've been running from my mind, need a second for my soul Let it go and I try keeping all of this inside, but the cracks they start to show And I've been told Boys don't cry, I'll be showing the boys don't cry, these tears supposed to go, these tears are supposed to go.
SPEAKER_11I've been tryna find that light. But darkness just keeps spotting me, blinding me from what's true.
SPEAKER_10Just give me time, I've been running from my mind, need a second for my soul. Let it go. And I try keeping all of this inside, but the cracks they start to show.
SPEAKER_11I'd be lying if I said I don't. Sometimes I'm the one that needs a little holding. If boys don't cry, where these tears are supposed to go.
SPEAKER_10A white sport coat and a pea carnation. I'm all alone in Roman Once a told me long ago To the front with me, you go Now you've changed your mind and see someone else will hold my dreams of white, a white sport, sport coat, and a peak carnation and blue, blue, a white, sport the coat, and the pink carnation I offense for the day of white, sparkly coat, and the pink car page I all alone in all manchet me long ago To the prom with me you go Now you change your mind it seems someone else will hold my dreams of white sport and a P carnation I am blue I don't care that you done me wrong Cause I've already moved on I don't care what his name is Girl, it is what it is I won't waste a time or the bartender's time trying to catch a buzz over the thought of us But I'll drink to a country stone To another long work with gone And I'll waste my glass to go for the night I might take a nap Baby you ain't wet They never asked me anyway So if the stream is wrong in this box It ain't no worst day Does your company, church, business, or school need to get your employees certified in first aid CPR and saving a life?
SPEAKER_18Well guess what? Armored Tech is here on the Gulf Coast. Call them today at 251-264-2498, and they will bring the train to you wherever you're at. 251-264-2498. These guys are fantastic, they're paramedics, firefighters, they know they're stuffed. They'll also teach you AD, stop the bleed, and the use of Narcan. 251-264-2498. Hundreds and thousands of people collectively visit us every day, and now they can visit with you for just one hundred dollars a month. Advertise your product, your business, your company, yourself. Contact us at helpdesk at bluermedia.com. I wanna give you a heads up about something that is uh has happened in Japan. You may, may, or may not have heard about this. It's a little odd, but it does happen more often than you can imagine. The Daphne Police are warning parents in the area that their child reportedly picked up a dollar bill with math and of course children. They don't know what it is today. They might have seen the powder or something rather than the police made the children. And the rain border really opened up the door in your head and raid. Take medical attention! You figure that you're contaminated in any way. But remember, money! Money is extremely filthy and yes, oftentimes contaminated with illicit drug. Broadcasting live from the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama, it's Highway 98. We've got your favorite new hits, some of those good old hits, indie music, gospel, bluegrass, and so much more here on Highway 98.
SPEAKER_03I've been running with under sleeping under neon skies.
SPEAKER_05Never cared who heard the lines.
SPEAKER_03Mama prayed I learned my part, but I was born with matches and a gasoline spark. Don't try to tell me, don't say me down. I'll burn right through the fences of this down. Cause I got wildfire, twelve light. Ever full laugh, Three, two, three, one, five, four, eight, two, two, three, two, three, three, two, three, two, five, three, four, two, three, three, three, two, four.
SPEAKER_08These wildfires.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, these wildfires. We'll haunt you till the day you die.
SPEAKER_05It's like terrible white. I put a bottom. Oh bah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, but I'm singing. I'm gonna give her all the love I can find out. We're gonna drop the hollow. We're gonna start to find that we'll swing it up.
SPEAKER_15Rip currents cause an estimated one hundred deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruthery-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it, don't swim against the current, try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.
SPEAKER_18Your local news and seven-day forecast coming up. Here on the radio program, I try very hard not to show a lot of diet and things, but you know what? This morning I really have to tell you about your hard to come by these days with everything for you. And make it a meeting. Every time of me and they do it all in hell. Open the country from the country. They've been around nineteen fifty when J Evan found it. Opening Ever in nineteen ninety-eight. We need to be helping local.
SPEAKER_10I look like hell. I've seen better day. They pour me back here. With my day. She slips her hands right on the muscle. She throws me back again. Making me look good again. Making me look good.
SPEAKER_13But the first time I ever felt earth shape was in Miami When ain't it touched me. Oh, it shook me. I told her I loved her and I wanted to stay. But she said be sure now called me away. Even in the taxi, I could hear my telephone ring. All me from I am I am so long at all. Set him on my way, baby and back. I want you, I love you. That's all she had to say. Goodbye. Now once again I'm Miami Bow. Touch it out. Cause I know my way at that point again. I can't wait, my What is so long about you.
SPEAKER_07She ain't a peach, you oughta be pickin'. She ain't the cup of tea, you oughta be sippin'. She treats you like you're pro, like you need fixin'. You ain't getting nothing back for all that you're giving. If you're good with who you kissin, say lovey. But I can show you what you're missing. Yeah, boy, I can be. Who is getting your soda? The laundry of the own. She's got a little style. And I would smile. But don't be honey. I need everything she is. Everything she needs to diamond, the I see it's stars. But if you take a second look, you see this on one. I think that's not the baby honey good. It's money in the bank. I'm everything she is, and everything she ain't wrong for you. I'm just a girl that's for you. No, it's right as rain. The way it's getting a starter, the line up her own. Shotgun up to phone. The Audrey T and Frank. She's got a little style and a Hollywood smile. But believe me, honey put his money in the bank. I'm everything she is, and everything she ain't. I'm everything she is, and everything she ain't.
SPEAKER_01The Federal Aviation Administration wants you to fly your drone responsibly. Avoid flying your drone near other aircraft. Fly your drone on your foreign.
SPEAKER_16Hi, I'm Leon the Lightning Lion, here to tell you when thunder roars, go indoors. Thunder is loud, but lightning is dangerous and can hurt you even before it rains. When you hear thunder, go indoors quickly. And for a house, school, or large building, if you're going outdoors, get in a car, truck, or bus, never go under a tree. Stay off telephones, computers, and video games. Remember, play it safe when thunder roars. Go indoors.
SPEAKER_18We're going to be looking at a rain for the rest of the week. And to the foreseeable future. I know I've been saying that quite a bit, but I've got that latest 10 day plus weather for you. And looking, you know, right away. And all the math and all the predictions. Well, you know, here along the golf. It is what it is. So this morning, some areas did some thunderstorms, nothing too major. But we could have a few uh lingering rain showers later in the evening. Temperature's high today, around 88 degrees. The overnight gonna be a high and humid 80 with wind coming out of the south southwest for the rest of the day at about eight to twelve miles per hour. What if you're gonna do today morning? Uh well morning uh morning thunderstorms forty percent chance of those thunderstorms, but they're not going to stick around all day long. Afternoon, we're gonna have some sunshine. Now the temperature again hovering between eighty-eight and ninety. Really, when you go to two degrees, it don't make a whole bunch of difference. When coming out of the field at about nine to twelve miles per hour, and overnight, right around eighty-one units cookie. So yeah, gonna have to continue cranking up at A3, unfortunately. On Wednesday the 12th, we're looking again at morning thunderstorms, and that could kind of linger. We have about a 50% chance of those storms for Wednesday. With wind coming out of the west southwest about 12 to 14 miles per hour. Yeah, you know what's coming up for Thursday. Again, thunderstorms in the early morning lingering. This time we have a much higher percentage of thunderstorms hanging around for parts of Thursday, about 65% chance. Temperatures hovering right around 90 degrees, and all that humidity, all that warm air moving into the area, that is going to produce those thunderstorms. The overnight is going to be right around 81, 82 again, hot and humid. Cranking up that AC for that electricity bill. Have you seen some of those? I've seen some of those. And you know what? Paying $300, $400 a month to keep cold or warm. Thursday, the overnight's gonna be hot. Friday. Well, once again, those thunderstorms aren't moving out anytime. Friday, they will be lingering throughout today. That means they could be in Babylon and not be in Gulf George. That's the way it works here along the Gulf Coast. Friday's temperature hanging around there about 90 degrees and humid, 81, 82 in the overnight. Winds are shifting the Friday coming in from the southwest and the clean hour. Now you might think, well, that's good. We're gonna have a breathe. No, we're gonna have thunder. Ice weight thunderstorms anywhere throughout the day or evening, so just to be aware. Now, as we move into Saturday and Sunday, again, we're gonna have mostly sunny, partly cloudy, you know, it's gonna be a mixture. Right around 90 degrees for both Saturday and Sunday, the overnight, 81, 82. Again, it's hot and humid. We cannot get away from this thing. We are in mid-August. We gotta expect it. Right now, the wind for the weekend is gonna be light and bearable, 9 to 12 miles per hour. And uh those chances of thunderstorms remain at about 25% around the weekend. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. That's the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th of August. Unfortunately, isolated and scattered thunderstorms will remain in the forecast in the mix as temperatures continue to hover right around 90 to 92 degrees during the day and around 80-81 in the overnight. We don't see this pattern moving out anytime soon. Let's all just be thankful that we've had no ages moving in, and it's still kind of quiet on the scene. Although we are monitoring some disturbances further out, and we'll keep you updated. Remember, you can go to our website, go to helpdesk at bluerammedia.com and sign up for alerts, sign up for the news alerts, and uh we'll keep you up to date on the next radio program. But that's the way that it's looking for us, anyways, for the time being.
SPEAKER_15Your home for a Christian country.

SPEAKER_06I was driven by the drive, not knowing where the lonely road was leading. More money in a bank account to buy things I could brag about. Didn't like the mark that these old boots were leaving. So I'm getting on a better path. And as for my next half I'll do my best, hope it's enough to leave a legacy of loving people like the one who built this home. Be a welcome sign, be an open door. I wanna be remembered for the times I was alive. I put my rights away, my wrongs Hope I get back that time I lost.
SPEAKER_10Even though I got a later store.
SPEAKER_06And long after I'm dead and gone, I hope I'm looking down upon. A million times I left my makers on.
SPEAKER_04I wanna leave a lawn trail behind. Full of Jesus, full of kindness. Try to be the change I won't see. Whoa, I wanna play that kind of sea.
SPEAKER_10Some skies shine. Trouble's always been a friend of mine. Ain't nothing new, so I ain't scared. The wind can take me it no matter where. So I won't run and I won't hug. No one gets out of here a lie. Good wind with your reason. I hope they know I did it. When a room where has I spent it? You can bet I probably mention. I've been drunk and I've been sober. Then come between the bread and the swimming. I may be a baby when I spoke. So I'm out here. Made alone in my coats. I tell you that, still hear you all. All again, all again, and all again. The worst and the best that I've ever been. I hope they know I did. When a room has a stead, you can let that probably man I've been brought and I've been sober. Then come between the bread and the spin.
SPEAKER_06I'm a many women.
SPEAKER_10I won't run. I won't. No one gets out of here alive. I've been drunk and I've been sober. Still come between the bread and the spin. So I'm out here.

She still asks about you all the time. And I guess we never even cross your mind. But oh sometimes I think about you and the wind used to ride down stones and steep with the stone line on your head. Start it at the moment. There's something lost. And the way you used to write down in your roots, stones and your sequence. With some line on your head, and all the crowd will always love you. But as for me, I've come to know everything litters. Yes, not room. Everything bitters. Yes, not gold.
SPEAKER_17Leave those years behind. Draw down the coastline. The coastal Alabama. Highway 98 Radio.

SPEAKER_10I've been talking to the laws about how to get her back. And they told me I should call. She don't wanna hear from me. Well, she's heard a thousand times. If you've been it long enough, even the truth sounds like a lie. She's over empty words. Have heart apologies? My broken promises, my don't give up on me. No goodbye when she lives. I got what I deserve. I'm in this empty bit. She's over empty words. Hey there, Mr. Whips. Could you make a couple more? Cause I could really use a sorry that I used on her before I guess them sweeten up and stone, eating up and down. Been crying all so much that she don't wanna hear me how she's over empty work. I thought apology, my broken promises. I don't give up on me. No good by when she lives. I got what I deserve. I'm in this empty bit. She's over empty work. She's over empty work. I've got a policy cheat. My broken promises. Oh my don't give up on me. No goodbye when she lives. I got what I deserve. I'm in this empty bit. She's over empty words.
SPEAKER_06Let the ten rooms keep getting that brain. Let these all boots stay by the doors.
SPEAKER_03Let me lose it. Just hearing you say, Do not baby amused.
SPEAKER_06Let me only somebody else.
SPEAKER_10Get me going to kiss me.
SPEAKER_04Let your eyes come back and look.
SPEAKER_06Let you get down water fall for. While you're at a girl, don't take it off.
SPEAKER_10Baby webinar. Give me gold where we go back. Some red me drink you in like whiskey.
SPEAKER_06Kiss me. Give me gone. Oh baby, give me gone.
SPEAKER_10I still hear your laugh in the kitchen light. Coffee cup set, but you're not inside. I keep reaching for you, but you've been gone. Every photograph hangs heavy on the wall. I touch your face, but it says it all. I walk these roads where the shadows fall. Carry the weight when the good Lord calls. But I've learned love don't just fade away. It lingers on in the words we pray. Every sunrise feels colder without your hand. But I keep believing in the promised land. There's an empty chair at the table tonight. But the love remains, it still burns bright through the tears, through the age, through the heavyweight. We remember you where the empty chair still went. Sunday bells don't sound the same every hymn feels like it's calling your name. But I bow my head and a phrase anyway. The preacher talks of heaven's open gate. I hold on tight while the candles wait. Time moves slow when the nights get long. But I find you smiling and old of stones. And when the stars play the midnight sky, no heaven's near not far tonight. I whisper your name in the cool night air. Sometimes I feel you still. There's an empty chair at the table tonight. But the love remains, it still burns right through the tears, through the aid, through the heavyweight. We remember you where the empty chair still weighs grief is heavy, but it makes us strong. Love's forever, it still carries. Every tears of prayer I send your way. For me to get on that brighter day. Like you already know every sunset burns with a sacred flame. It feels like heaven when I call your name. Life may break, but it won't erase the light of your love or the warmth of your face. Or there's an empty chair at the table tonight, but the love remains. Still burns right through the stars, through the paint, through the heavyweight. We remember you with the empty chair, still wait. Empty chairs.
SPEAKER_00Back to school. Today, the police department and I would like to share some safety tips for getting to and from school all year round.
SPEAKER_12You must go down and you're running all right on the problem. The train is a problem.
SPEAKER_18Here we go again. We're packing up the family. Throwing the cooler in the car and we're heading out of town for a little bit. We're gonna have fun all day long with the family. And then we're welcome back and flicking our own bed today. We're day dripping. Jay tripping for fun. Where are we going today? Not too far. Not too far. Real fun. If you're looking for a quick get away. And of course, the delivery food being heard of the new retrograde. Nice little town today. This is located in the main and uh you know, a little trip. Take the kids, the grandkids, and just enjoy yourself for a day or two. I think you're gonna have a lot of fun day also. Check them out. Go to their website and enjoy yourself on this little journey on the channel.
SPEAKER_10I found out those bright lights say where I belong. From a phone booth and the rain, I called a tell her. I've had a change of dreams, I'm coming home. The tears filled my eyes when I found out she was gone. Okay. Okay. I climbed up the cabo. I wipe my eyes with toe and love her. Can you make a fish where the rain flame of the left though? I walk away. I feel the rain running down my face. I find it no matter what I say.
SPEAKER_18And once again, on this August, the 10th of 2026, we're wrapping up another program. Just a few programs short of four hundred radio shows. I don't know how that all came to be. We've done a lot of programs over the last four years or so. Thank you for being a good listener. We have a lot of dedicated followers. Please continue telling your friends, co-workers, uh, employees, family, anybody who will listen. And uh remember, you can also receive our newsletters every single day with a lot of news that you don't find elsewhere. Of course, all of our breaking news and weather alerts, traffic, advisories, and so much more. Blue Random Media! Remember it. Tell folks about it. Go to our website. We are a growing media company, a local company, with a lot of news organizations, including unfortunately our local TV stations. And of course, that's all important. But we are a community-oriented news group. Contact helpdesk at bluermedia.com if you have any questions. Or if you're an indie finger, send us one of your songs and we'll get it on the air. Remember, if you see any news happening, please contact newsdesk at bluermedia.com. And wherever you're driving, today, tomorrow, whenever, wherever. Remember, if you see firing lights, if you hear firings, if you see light, you gotta pull to the right. That is the law. And it's a very important thing to do because we want to get all of our emergency responders to that emergency without any injuries or accidents or any other delay. Until the next time, y'all, please be safe, be blessed, and of course, I'll be back on the radio before you know it.
