Hello and welcome to Coastal Alabama Highway Ninety Eight Radio. Rick McCand behind the microphone. We've got the latest breaking news, extended weather forecast, and great music coming up live, broadcasting from the Blue Ran Media Studios here in Golf Shores, Alabama.
SPEAKER_03Wish I could save bartender. Close me out when you can. A girl like that won't get away. I tend to keep on coming. Wish I could tell you I'm the luckiest guy who every step put into this bar. Thinks I hung the moon and stars. Wish I could tell you she's home waiting for me now. I need to be home my way. And how it's all gonna be okay. Wish I could say it won't be long and she'll be home. God, I love the sound of that. There's a whole lot more that I wish I could say.
SPEAKER_06And I never saw it come in. Shook from a dream, woke up alone, feeling betrayed, tears are running down my cheeks as I screamed down the hall. No one there to break my phone. I gave my heart in home my love. And one day my best wasn't good enough.
SPEAKER_05It's hard when you find that sometimes you must let love die. I never expected so much pain. But one I thought would never change. He went and left me behind. I'm bound in to let love die.
SPEAKER_06I face the world with hollow eyes. Just going through the motions. I pray for strength to get through the day. Try to find a way to keep on going towards the light. Ever through the rain. Wait for the sun to find me again.
SPEAKER_05I gave my heart in all my love. And one day my best wasn't good enough.
SPEAKER_06It's hard when you find that sometimes you must let love die.
SPEAKER_05I never expected so much. But the one I thought would never change. He went and left me behind. Now I'm lying. It's a let love time. Not staring at my cell phone, stuck in the bathroom mirror. And if I was a cowboy, I'd just throw some blue jeans on. I'd be somewhere on a dance floor. I'd already be moved on. Cowboys don't cry. Cowboys can lie to themselves and to everyone else where it's over. Cowboys be fragile, live back in the saddle. Don't wear for them to unbreak. They just ran away. They just ran away off in the sunset. In a shabby Silverado. Go to church and give a drink. For some girl from Colorado. Cowboys say they'll never marry. So you go and set them free. Mister, I ain't getting married. Just didn't wanna marry me. Cowboys don't cry. Cowboys can lie to themselves and to everyone else when Cowboys ain't fresh. Don't wait for the I do want to break.
SPEAKER_04They just ran.
SPEAKER_05Can't have her hurt under her head. Cowboys don't cry. Cowboys can lie to themselves and to everyone else when it's so Cowboys so fresh up on the back of the step. Don't wait for the one break.
SPEAKER_04They just spanned that she said she said it over to see your mama. Try to clear heads she needed a little time. Said we could talk more about it later if you wanna walk down the door so everything was gonna be alright. I ain't heard a word from her, and that's what gets me. So tell me how does a good bite go is it down to a cold boy? Rabbit down in the giveaway call. If it's all mouth is cowboys, gotta know. To the couple mouths away, come from the road to roll with my train on the road away, train. How far does it do that? Go to the don't come back to the word. To get out past where the radio just came. Pass the river breed with a rope swing, and a mailbox paint it all, John Green. Out here doing our own thing. I'm in the middle where the hard one means hollow living. I'm in the middle where we grown till we gone gotta win it. Just a good old good old girl's done. Don't stay having it like the high hangin' on like it's in the pole. You can hear the head clear across the next one. Just to get off the good off, girls.

SPEAKER_07Miles of dry ground. I swear it's been nothing but months of a burning sun. Don't sound alive now. This wedding used to fit like a glove back when love was a while with this hotel cake. It's taking me to the storm that I made deserted. Every job on my skin downs. I've been trying to reckless eye, even if it's a wrong, baby, bring it on. Y'all the midnight rush, I've been missing my body begging to be baptized today. So feel me a help, too, touch with your breath, and pour it out. She's awake with the best in place. Every job with under rose brings me to my knees. Like a suit prayer. Hits me like a holy ghost taking over my soul, coming drag me dead. Every drop on my skin male Making out my senses. There ain't no decision. Even if it's a wrong, baby, bring it on.
SPEAKER_04Y'all need my brush, I've been missing with my body, begging to be baptized. So fill me up with your touch, with your breath, and pour it out. She's away with the battery It's wately used to fit like a club back when love was a while.
SPEAKER_07But this hotel cave, just my baby take away to the only heaven I'll ever see.
SPEAKER_04There ain't no doubt. Even if it's wrong, baby bring it up.
SPEAKER_07I've been thinking to be baptized today. Sit for me at the time with your breath before it out.
SPEAKER_04She's already put the dance with your dance bread The sweaty creek used to fit like a glove back when love was wild.
SPEAKER_02I've seen a dozen texts and I ain't heard Jack. I guess she's busy playing hard to get back. So I bought roses and her favorite wine. Thinking we'd be making up in old time. But I'm parked down here on her street. Looks like the joke's on me. Sittin' here, I can't believe what I just saw. Couple shadows kissing off her bedroom wall. It's looking like my plan didn't work out at all. Or break turning the broga. So now I'm finding out how a hard break taste with a silver road 1998 Drinking cabin solo. Solo in the cab of my truck Yeah, I thought about taking it back to the store. Cause it's the nicest bottle that I ever paid for. But then again, if I had that money back, I'd just find a bar and go run up a tap. I could go for a whiskey, I could go for a beer. But hell I'm already here. Still here, I can't believe what I just thought. Couple shadows gets an all the wall. Looking like my brain didn't work down at all. Arbre turned into broke up. Now I'm finding down the hard break. We'll just do a rogue 1998. Drinking candle stone. Just turn out the light. It's two minutes, which is damn goodbye. Man, I swear I can't believe I just saw Couple shadows pissing off bedroom walls. Looking like my brain didn't work out it all. That break turned into broke up Now I'm finding out a home break date with a still rogue 1998 Drinking Cabinet Solo. Solo in the cabin my truck. Yeah, I'm drinking cabinet solo. Solo in the cabin my truck.
SPEAKER_11Moments away. Does your company, your business, or school need to get your employees certified in first ACPR and saving a life? Well, guess what?
SPEAKER_02This is for all you sophisticated ladies out there. She grew up in the city in a little subdivision. Her daddy wore a tie, mama never fried a chicken. Mallet, straight aids, most likely to sleep. They bought her a car After graduation sent her down south for some higher education. Put her on a fast track to a lot of green. Holding the hands of a wildfire boy with a farm.
SPEAKER_04It spreads the day up, and the time well spent, and time just thrown away.
SPEAKER_03I wish my heart would please make up my mind.
SPEAKER_04I'm wasting so much time.
SPEAKER_03Playing mind games with the ground. Can we stop this time or must we go again?
SPEAKER_04I see you standing waiting just outside. Come and get me off this round. I look inside your eyes and see perfections on yourself and me. The way you always said it would be so easily, and it came to me always.
SPEAKER_15Smoking cigarettes, nicotine and whiskey, always on his breath. He kept a fresh pack open right beside his bed. Some of them things will kill you. That's what that doctor said. When we go fishing, trying to catch him all. She tore my clothes in the washing machine. Cuss my daddy scrubbed the hell right out of me. On the love he showed the jokes he told, found a way to seep into my soul. I pray every day. I find a way to pass it on to these children of mine. Live second-hand smoke. Thinking they'd hurt me. Never crossed his mind. He was right there with me. Not the wrong kind. He played it real cool when we disagree. Man, we were old school. My old man and me. Ain't life fun. How the world goes round. Make all of that money. Still put you in the ground. Man, I'd love to see and watch you burn one down. You smoke it up in heaven with those angels now. Over life, show the joke he toe. Found a way to seep into my soul. Every day I find a way to pass it on to these children of my own. A little second hand smoke. A little second hand smoke.
SPEAKER_04Driving in the car or on the app. Thanks for listening. I'll be the manual now.
SPEAKER_11Once again, this morning I've got that extended weather forecast for you. But first, let me just say we have had a number of heat-related emergencies here along the Gulf Coast over the last few days. Yes, it was hot yesterday. It's definitely gonna be hot today. And um, we're gonna tell you about some thunderstorms moving in. But remember, if you're working outdoors, if you are uh here on vacation, laying out on the beach, you can quickly, your body can quickly heat up well beyond what you could imagine. So please, you know, drink a lot of water, stay away from the alcohol, um, get under the shade trees, not much of that on the beach, of course. Get inside where there's anything. And if you feel like, you know, you're really your body is heating up, you need to get in where it's cold. If you're beginning to lose consciousness, maybe you're waiting in and out. That is a heat emergency call 911. For the rest of today, we're looking at about 93 for a high on this Thursday. We'll have mostly funny remaining, but we're gonna have some clouds and possible rain showers or even storms later in the day. The temperature high today, 93 degrees, the overnight around 80. And for the weekend, tomorrow, Friday, we're gonna see about a 50% chance of thunder, storms, scattered in some areas and severe, in others. 91 will be the high for tomorrow. Wind coming out of the west 15 miles per hour, so there'll be a breeze. But it'll also be hot and humid. The overnight is right around 80 degrees. On Saturday and Sunday, we definitely have thunderstorms in the mix. In fact, on Saturday, 75% chance of those thunderstorms. We're not gonna see much in the form of sunshine, but it's still gonna be hot and humid. Overnight and Saturday, 78 degrees. Winds coming out of the west southwest is about 15 to 18 miles per hour. Sunday, more, more serious thunderstorms, almost 100% chance of thunderstorms for your Sunday August. We have severe storms moving in for the afternoon and evening temperatures about 88 degrees for Sunday, uh the overnight about 78. Wind coming out of the west-southwest once again, 15 to 20 miles per hour. Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday uh unfortunately doesn't look a whole lot better. We are gonna have a Monday more rain chances and possible thunderstorms. The temperature high for Monday will be 88 degrees during the daytime, 78 in the overnight, with 55% chance of uh rain and about a 20% chance of thunderstorms. On your Tuesday, well, showers will remain in the area in the morning. The temperature high will get up around 89, possibly even 90 degrees, and that overnight low, 78 degrees. Rain cannot be ruled out. But then in the afternoon, it's gonna probably clear up and we'll have some sunshine. Wednesday will be a complete duplicate of Tuesday. We'll probably have some morning uh rain showers, and then later in the afternoon clearing up percentage of rain, 55% for Wednesday. The high will be 88 during the daytime, and 78 in the overnight. Wind coming from the south-southwest, 9 to 12 miles per hour. Once again, unfortunately, on Thursday, that rain's gonna hang around for most of the day. 66% chance to rain for your Thursday, the sixth day of August. 90 degrees will be the high on Thursday next week. And uh about 79 will be the low in the overnight winds coming out of the east, southeast, 10 to 12 miles per hour. Of course, when we get back in the studio, we're gonna have the latest, most up-to-date, accurate extended weather forecast. But as I say all the time, in this area, you definitely need a weather box, you need a weather app on your phone to get those alerts when that weather changes and the storms move in. And that's your extended weather forecast for today's weather from Coastal Alabama Radio. SPEAKER_04It didn't take down, except the Baptist church and a ball field. Then they rebuilt, talk about tough people. She was four years old when they got the news. It was in her little lungs, it was staged two. Mama spent every night by her bed, and daddy shaved his head. Talk about tough people. There were plenty of times she could have gave up, but she did. Tough towns make tough people It's the table mom working through the job today. It's a grammar, waiting table working through the thing. It's a time. Came back in a box with a flag on it. It's home on it. Talk about tough people talk about some tough people. Keep catching that brain. Let these old boots stay by the door.

SPEAKER_11I know it is hard to believe. But all really yours. I got a big sale. Back to school. I can remember when I was a kid about a hundred years ago. Looking so forward to getting new clothes every school year.
SPEAKER_01Every day we take it out of the people we love to see unhealthy residents are easy to miss. Like the ones that cause Lyme disease, the mice surging for food into red bacteria that makes us sick. Mosquitoes lay eggs in the standing water, and the red wet Nile virus, and more. Cockroaches are drawn to water in the home, leaving behind allergens that can trigger asthma attacks. Common pests can threaten our health. Learn how to protect your family at pestworld.org.
SPEAKER_09Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruthery-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it, don't swim against the current, try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.
SPEAKER_05With entity. God made a style. Why can't he make me an unbreakable home in my blue room? And let me cry. I should know. Sometimes don't just come and go. But I we only someone will come to the eyes in her remembrance.

SPEAKER_04I've done.
SPEAKER_13I just don't know. I've got your life and down. And don't we are not big and white.

SPEAKER_04A field fire party, truck circled around it. Me and the guys with no damn plants, moon in the sky, crushing some cans, nothing going down. Yeah, the kind you forget about. And then you lit up my phone. See you were coming a little later on. Can't imagine a word when you don't. Cause leaning on the side of my chevy. I was feeling like the luckiest guy. Like the stars were falling just a right. You could have been just me and the guys winning the trunk bed full of empties. But you took the same old night. I've lived a thousand times and made it a memory. Cause the window you were smiling, dancing up on the tailgate. Got me thinking I wish that you'd look at me that way. I was done. That was us making the first one. I can't forget about. Yeah, I still remember now. When you lit up my phone. See you coming on a little later on. Can't imagine a world where you don't just lean it on. Stop my debt. I was feeling like the luckiest guy. Like the stars falling to the right. So you were coming a little later on. But I can't imagine a world where you don't. Cause I leaned in and girl, you let me. I was fit up the guy. Like the star is just a right. I left the found. And made it a memory.

SPEAKER_11Boy, that music track ran out quickly, didn't it? You caught me drinking. Coffee, of course. But that is unfortunately um gonna wrap it up for us today. We have a lot going on. And if you're on the back road, I was gonna say a country road, but there's not too many of those left, and there's not that many back roads, and they're all becoming four-lanes. No matter where you are, actually, if you're driving and you hear sirens, you see light, red or blue, you gotta pull to the right as swiftly as possible. Let's get all of our first responders to where they're going. And of course, if they're already on the side of the road, you gotta move to the left as swiftly as possible, or whatever direction that they send you. Well, brother, sisters, thanks for being with us today. As you can tell, we're really stupid. So much happening and so much to tell you, and so much to do. Welcome. Don't drink and drive.
