Honestly, I think this is uh definitely something that is sorely needed. And um well, right now it looks like things are starting to move again in the right direction forward. A new plan, however, is going to delay it a little bit. Funding is built the issue, and as you know, you may have plans to build a new home, you may have everything all together, all the factors, you may even know who you're going to hire to construct the home. According to lawmakers, right now, even with skyrocketing cars, the whole Bridge and Bayway project will be approved. It's gonna take a few more years to get it going. A revised plan announced by Aldon recently and the Mobile Metropolitan Planning Organization, along with the Eastern Shore Metropolitan Planning Organization, says construction of the new six-plane cable made red uh over the Mobile River is moving forward slowly. But they do expect that this project will continue. A new factory phase one includes utilizing the existing good condition of the bayway by restricting. Of course, you're looking for more money. We're being heard once again by lawmakers, the local government that this is going to move forward after now. I don't think that by the time that they get it out, it'll be wide enough. You know, you notice I'm sure all of the traffic, all of the people moving in. We're really getting hit big time by this traffic, and by the time they do get it constructed, well, they'll probably have to add a few more to my hands. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it, don't swim against the current, try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. Happening. A pedestrian was struck and critically injured. This happened in Somerdale. According to authorities, EMS police and fire responded at about 1130. According to authorities, several people had stopped to assist the pedestrian. Police said that this occurred at about eleven thirty in the morning, and this was on County Road uh 28 in the 18,390 block of County Road 28. A medical helicopter was also called to the scene. A Spanish Ford history teacher died in a traffic collision in Faro Land. Authorities said that this happened on June the 30th. Spanish Ford Middle School Debrey Jenkins was killed in a Ford vehicle accident on Highway 158. According to law enforcement, uh they are still investigating the circumstances. According to uh his family, the Jenkins uh service was held on July the 10th at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Police haven't released any other details. The Mobile Police Department announced that during the July 4th holiday weekend that they had a traffic enforcement team out. They wrote 135 citations. According to law enforcement, many of them was for speeding, and red light and stopside violations. According to mobile police, they have not yet released the number of DUI arrests. Police say that a man was shot 14 times with a BB gun that happened in Silver Hill. Authorities were called at a bottle lemonade and to a mobile home park. Authorities responded along with police fired EMS to South Boulevard into the mobile home park. They found the man had been shot 14 times with a BB gun. Two men fled on foot. A medical helicopter was also dispatched. At this time, police say that this case is under investigation. An Alabama man has been arrested for sexual charges, sexual assault charges after this occurred at a um hotel in the Gulf Shores area. The police said Todd Sterling Trellinger, 37 in Millbrook, Alabama, is now charged with three counts of sexual abuse in the first degree. The police said that they are still investigating. One of the victims was a 17-year-old male. Authorities say they will release more information in the upcoming days, and that he can actually face more charges. A second Richard police officer has been charged during an ongoing investigation, according to police. Authorities previously arrested, Officer Emmanuel Naaman Dodge, with the same type of warrant. The Mobile County Sheriff's Office has since taken over law enforcement for that city to say that this is still an ongoing investigation. Police in Pensacola have arrested two people in relation to a mass shooting and homicide that occurred over the 4th of July weekend. According to the Pensacola police chief Eric Windstrom, Lillian Myers and Nicholas Saford was arrested on multiple charges, just not homicide. They were involved after the incident. Police and Faroe responded to a felony detection at the Walmart on County Road 48 and State Highway 181. One of the suspects was armed and fled. Police took uh about an hour to search the area. Eventually, they did locate Jordan Latrell Grantley 19 of Mobile, and he has been charged with a number of felonies, including first-degree theft fleeing and eluding, fleeing police possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The Federal Police Department said they are also looking for at least two others involved. A former Florida governor nominee, Andrew Gillam, was arrested in Daphne briefly on drug charges. Police stopped him for traffic uh infraction during a late-night traffic stop. Authorities said that happened in US 98 near North Main Street at about 10.45 p.m. Officers saw him playing view a glass pipe on the center of the council, which gave them trouble clause to search. Authorities say he was later released on bond. Police immobile conducted their own traffic stop, and according to police, they arrested a man after they found a clock switch, which turns a clock handgun into a machine gun. And that is a federal offense and a felony. Police say that the authorities arrested the man who's 22 on those felony charges, and that he is currently locked up in Mobile jail.
