And I'll be back before you know it with a whole bunch of other parts to the show today.

SPEAKER_13

I've never asked you where you're going. I've never asked you where you've been. You stayed out from your friends. I've never tried to catch you like it. I didn't wanna know the truth. I'd rather go all over and blind girl than go all over you. I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

unknown

So if you have a home pool it's very dangerous for young children. And the Coast Guard approved life jacket. You need to have flotation devices around the water so that the children can be rescued. There's also something called near drowning. A lot of people have never heard of this, but that's when a person has gone under the water and a rescuer has made that person pulled a mouth, reconcentrated that many times, and because of that, they're alive. Remember, many month that you need to think about water safety. You should think about it every time that you're near water. Whether you're fishing, swimming, whatever it might be. You need to be water wise and watch out for children, teenagers and even adults many into the water and they can't swim well.

SPEAKER_18

Remember you can save a life so you standin' in the middle of the thunder and lightning I know you feel like you just can't win but you're trying it's hard to keep on keeping on when you're being pushed around pushed around Don't even know which way is up you just keep spinning down round down

And this morning, just like every morning that we're in the studio, I've got that up to dated 10 day plus weather forecast. And well, yeah, it's gonna be a little bit more stormy weather coming through, and uh, we've had a lot of that lately, but it's to be expected this time of year. For the rest of today, your high is right around 83. It's gonna remain mostly cloudy throughout the day. We do have about a 28% chance of rain, but it may be a little bit more than that later in the afternoon and early evening. Wind coming out of the east at about 9 to 12 miles per hour. Now, for your Friday, beginning of the big weekend, 82 will be the high, 71 in the overnight. During the morning, we are gonna have clouds tomorrow, and then the sun will break through. And once again, we do have a slight chance of rain, about 30% wind coming out of the south-southeast at about 9 miles per hour. Once again, Saturday and Sunday, it looks like well, some storms moving in. Isolated thunderstorms on Saturday, the high will be 83. About a 40% chance of those thunderstorms making it into our area during the daytime. Maybe a little bit of sunshine coming in the afternoon, winds from the west-southwest 5 to 10 miles per hour. The overnight 73. Again, the rain chance will begin to increase in the overnight hours up to 50%. Thunderstorms, winds coming out of the west-southwest at about 10 miles per hour. Chance of rain on your Saturday is about 50% or higher. Sunday, much of the same. Scattered thunderstorms Sunday and Monday. The temperature high about 8471 in the overnight. Both on Sunday and on Monday, we will see sunshine later in the day. Um thunderstorms could move back in by evening. 48% chance on Monday. Uh we have thunderstorms, of course, hanging around on Tuesday away. Maybe some thunderstorms. Tuesday will be 84 degrees, 70 in the overnight, about a 50% chance of thunderstorms popping up during the daytime. Sunshine will also be seen, so it's not gonna be a total washout. Wednesday on the 3rd of June, 83 will be your high. 71 will be the low. Wind coming out of the northeast at 13 miles per hour. Mostly sunny. We call it partly cloudy, but mostly sunny with some clouds. And we can't rule out that forever summertime rain shower. About a 25%. Thursday on the 4th of June, you're gonna have 82 in the high, 71 in the overnight. And again, those showers remain about a 35%. Wind will be blowing very gusty on the 4th of June. 15 to 18 miles per hour. As we move back into another weekend on Friday the fifth, Saturday the 6th, and Sunday the 7th. Scattered or isolated thunderstorms, about a 45% for all three days. We'll have the most current updated weather for you when we get back into the studio on Monday. And that's your updated weather. They offer mobile patrol services of churches, businesses, clubs, gator communities, condominiums, beach resorts, yacht clubs, and so much more. 251-264-2498. Call today and you will think better tonight. The Alabama Marine Police, a division of Aliyah, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, and the U.S. Coast Guard is asking that voters please think before getting behind the wheel of your vessel. Don't drink before getting behind the wheel. Don't drink while you're behind the wheel, and certainly don't drink if you're driving anything, whether that's machinery or a car or a boat. They want you to be safe and keep your numbers on the vessel safe. Whether you're heading out for a day fishing or just a day relaxing on the water, be sure that you are sober and that you are alert. Remember to slow down for a wake zone and be careful of other boaters who may not be paying attention. We all love this time of year, we all love being on the water. I certainly do. And we just want you to do it safely. The Marine Police is out there enforcing the law, as is the Coast Guard. So be aware and do your part in keeping everybody safe.

SPEAKER_01

Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruthery-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.

Broadcasting live from the beautiful Gulf Coast of Alabama, it's Highway 98. We've got your favorite new hits, some of those good old hits, Indie Music, gospel, bluegrass, and so much more here on Highway 98. And this morning here in the Breaking News Center of Blue Ram Media, we have Breaking News. There's been debate happening in recent weeks about whether or not the tunnels on I-10, the Bay Way, that we know, the Wallace tunnels, um whether or not the tunnels will close. It seems like maritime travel is increasing in Mobile Bay, and uh they're talking about whether or not it would benefit the maritime travel to uh close these um tunnels that have been here for such a long time. Right now, uh, we don't know if this is a real discussion or something that's been put on the table and they're looking at it, but we'll definitely keep you updated. Police arrested Caitlin Dominic, 22, after a two-week uh investigation, where her child was brought to the hospital by emergency and was in critical condition and died at the hospital. It seems like she intentionally gave her child some type of fluid, but law enforcement has not identified what that was. A contract postal employee has pled guilty to federal charges because he failed to deliver or sometimes destroyed mail. The Robersdale man entered a plea of guilty and agreement after being arrested several months ago to twenty-three possibly five years or more in federal prison. He'll be sentenced. Uh I believe in August. At the Mobile County Metro jail, the corruption officer was assaulted. The officer was injured in the assault and transported to an area. Jeremy Jackson was identified as the inmate the major crimes crimes uh unit of the Mobile County Sheriff's Office is investigating. At this point, he does face felony charges of aggravated assault against a law enforcement officer. A pursuit by Mobile County deputies leaves us right back in the Mobile County. A stolen vehicle from Mississippi was spotted by the sheriff's office. Charles Mott, the driver, behind the wheel of that stolen vehicle, intentionally ran multiple sheriff vehicles. The pursuit continued, according to the sheriff's department. Eventually, they got the 2014 Chevrolet pickup truck. The police arrested Mop as well as his passenger Stephanie Valentine. According to the Sheriff's Office, he had a medical emergency and he was transported to the hospital. Two people are dead, one is injured, and the Gulf Fort Walmart shooting. Authorities there say that some type of confrontation between people that knew each other occurred at the Walmart gas station. Authorities identified 24-year-old Ontario Randall of Most Point and 29-year-old Shikari Smith of Dolphin report as though victims. And uh he is in the hospital right now and doing okay. The Mobile County uh uh Chambers office announced a $22.4 million metal recycling plant is coming to Mobile County. The $22.4 million recycling plant is owned by Jefferson Shredding and recycling LLC. They're planning to locate on a facility in Mobile County, and they will be recycling metal into new metal, and it's quite the process that will employ about a dozen people or more. Daniel Cleole Colbert was arrested by Daphne police. Daniel Bond was arrested by Daniel Police for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Fernando Perez Lopez was arrested for DUI alcohol. Keith Allen Bailey was arrested at the Walmart in '98 in Daphne for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Aliah also arrested several people, including a voter. And was charged with operating a vessel under the influence. State Troopers also arrested Amber C. McCartney 37 for driving under the influence of a controlled substance. Other departments are still calculating the arrest, and we should have those numbers within the next day or so. The uniforms, the scampy uniforms, are out as they try to become more family friendly. They say they're still gonna serve rape food. Explosion possibly caused a mobile house fire that happened on Riley Street. A trailer was fully engulfed. Because it was demolished by the time that they arrived in the scene. The city park is gonna be 53 acres. A conservation and recreation project on West Beach Boulevard. It's underway right now. The dog has killed a family farm that happened to Mobile County. The owners of the farm Mark Elmore said that the herd was almost demolished. They didn't eat the animals, they just tasted the blood and then moved. And I can hear definitely the multiple uh vehicle accident occurred at about 915. According to authorities, Caroline Hunt Logan wasn't killed in that multiple vehicle accident. She was from Flydale, Louisiana. Loxley Man has been indicted on multiple child sex charges dating back to 2014. Authorities arrested Daniel Hartman 32, and he is currently in the Baldwin County jail. Remember, when you see news happening, contact us at newsdesk at BlueRammedia.com.
