SPEAKER_06

He said, I see my mama. She looks about twenty-three. She's running my way with the angels. Right next to Jesus. Yes, I slid up, staring at the living room ceiling. And with his last few breaths, he said, I wish you could see. And I can see his taste, it's amazing. I know he had doubts, but I see it right now. I promise it's a real key pace. Only us today I'm gonna give Mary Better find a way to be a bit of laughter When I have you a grim baby. I got somebody good to name after. I'll try to think in this moment, this place.

SPEAKER_17

But it's happening on Monday, the 18th day of May 2026. I'm broadcasting live from the Golf Shores Studio on the Blue Rand Media group. SPEAKER_04

Every guy in here went quiet, like they knew you didn't care. You got that slow burn smile, like you sin and been forgiven.

SPEAKER_11

I don't come here looking for saving. I don't need a white night. I just like a man who knows better, but still looks me dead in the eye. I've been caught a couple things, some of 'em I won't deny.

SPEAKER_09

If you're scared of getting burned, baby, you're too close to my fire. Mama warned me about your kind, but you never said you look like this.

SPEAKER_04

Together.

SPEAKER_09

Trouble looks good on you. Yeah, fit you just arrived like a maiden dress in the last carcass. Underbuts and bar room, like you wear that danger like perfume, like to walk away, but I don't want to. If all's wrong, I don't want to. Trouble looks good on.

SPEAKER_10

Never once looked back. Got a history with near lipstick on the edge of a mat. I know I ain't your first mistake. Won't be a cleanest one.

SPEAKER_09

But I've been bored of play and stay. Since I learned how to run. You don't flinch when I get quiet. Don't try to fix my past. You just leanin' a little closer. Like you know it won't last. I see the wreck behind your eyes. Yeah, you danced with a grip.

SPEAKER_10

When they have the most honest night, all the ones we shouldn't get.

SPEAKER_09

You're gonna cross that line. Don't pretend you don't know why together. What the bad one, you with that chaos like the truth. Just pull this down, but I won't do. We ain't talking about tomorrow.

SPEAKER_11

Ain't praying for forever.

SPEAKER_09

Just two sparks lean and two clothes.

SPEAKER_11

Stormy kind of weather.

SPEAKER_09

I don't promise I'll stay.

SPEAKER_11

Don't promise I'll be kind. But I promise I'll feel real. For one damn night at a time together.

SPEAKER_09

If we crash, we crash, knowing why trouble looks good on you, like standin' on the moonlight, like knowing better doing words, and loving every second of the fight. You and a danger, like it's true. And I look better standing next to you if it's goes up and spoken truth. Trouble still looks good on trouble never won't be like that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, and I never tried to hide it. Trouble looks good on you.

SPEAKER_17

Broadcasting live from the beautiful Golf Coast of Alabama, it's Highway 98. We've got your favorite new hits, some of those good old hits, Indie Music, gospel, bluegrass, and so much more here on Highway 98. Right now you can advertise your business, your product, your company, on all of the platforms of Blue Ram Media. That includes radio shows, newsletters, and all of our social media. Hundreds and thousands of people collectively visit us every day, and now they can visit with you for just one hundred dollars a month. Advertise your product, your business, your company, yourself. Contact us, help desk at blue rammedia.com. The month of May is a national water safety month. Nationwide. Hundreds of thousands of people died from drowning. River we do rounding every year and rolling. We have frequent undertone and unpredictable rip current. And that's one of the calls of the bird rounding. If you don't know, it's a natural current that holds water for the feet. And after we freaking cure to create a drawing bird that can really drag people off your feet and into the water. We also have, of course, the van bar. I know perfectly the people who were walking in the water, and all of a sudden they disappear leaving people treating water in or even underwater. At least ten people die every day in the US from drowning, according to the American Red Cross. And unfortunately, drowning is the leading cause of death for children under the age of four. So if you have a whole pool, it's very dangerous for young children. It's recommended that you, no matter what size the pool, be protected by secure the gate, pool alarm, and the Coast Guard approved life jacket. You need to have rotation devices around the water so that the children can be rescued. There's also something called near drowning. A lot of people have never heard of this, but that's when a person has gone under the water, and a rescuer has made that person, pulled them out, resuscitated them, and Time. And because of that, they're alive. Remember, May isn't the only month that you need to think about water safety. You should think about it every time that you're near water. Whether you're fishing, swimming, whatever it might be, you need to be water-wise and watch out for children, teenagers, and even adults, many into the water and they can't swim well. Remember, you can save a life.

SPEAKER_15

Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one rudder-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. SPEAKER_09

Things are lady lovers. If life gets too well now that she's left, I keep kicking myself. Whenever I start thinking bear He says he names her, tells her he loves her. Why didn't I think of that? When she gets down, well he's always around her. He makes her smile again. Demons are high to bring the blues of birthday. And tries to be afraid. Now she's gone on the wall. I've been growing. So they walk in the back. Why didn't I find a fair? If I don't know how I'm going down, please do call the beach. He said it means her. Why didn't I think of that? He said we loved her, he made a beaver. Why didn't I think of that?

SPEAKER_13

He's out of word, he broke my heart, and I never saw it come in. Shook from a dream, woke up alone, feeling betrayed, tears are running down my cheeks, as I screamed down the hall. No one there to break my phone. I give my heart my love.

SPEAKER_07

One day my best wasn't good and eat love. It's hard when you find sometimes you must let love die. Never expected so much pain. One eye would never change. He went and left me behind. I want to let love die I face the world with hollow eyes.

SPEAKER_13

Just going through the motions. I pray for strength to get through the day.

SPEAKER_07

I give my heart of my love. One day my best wants you food in us. It's hard when you find us how to let love expectations of shape. We were the last three hands to let love expected so much pain. What I thought would never change. He went and left me behind. Now I'm lying. It's a less love.

SPEAKER_17

Your local news and seven-day forecast coming up. Moments away. Hey folks, thanks for joining us here on coastal Alabama's newest radio show, Highway 98, where everything is local and all about living on the coast. We're bringing you great music, news, and local events every day, right here on Highway 98. It must be that time again when the kiddos are about to get out of school. Why do I say that? Well, once again, Golf Shores is sponsoring Smoors on the Shore. The event will take place May 21st from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. This is a semi-annual event which kind of closes out the school year. And it's a great time to just have family fun, bring the family together, campfire, the music, more than so much more will be the scene as the studio golf shores host this event once again May 21st. The fun is gonna begin at 6 p.m. and will take place once again at golf place. You know where that is, right over there at 101 Golf Shores Parkway. The family from the event will include a variety of free items and activities, including some more packets on my DJ, a balloon artist, face painting. Guess what else is gonna be there? Watermelon provided by friends from wheelers real. One one level one again. This is my family favorite semi-annual made the twenty-first. Don't listen. I know we do have visitors in town, of course, and a lot of us this time of year look forward to getting out and uh enjoying our uh our habitat, you know, our surroundings, but unfortunately for the rest of the week. So starting off with today, we've had some patchy fog in the area. The high uh today was was warm and but it's gonna be warmer. It's gonna be in the high 80s. The overnight around 71 with a uh breeze maybe 10 to 12 miles per hour. Tuesday and Wednesday, we have similar weather. It's gonna be semi-sunny and a little bit overcast. The high will be 82, around 70 in the overnight. Clouds, of course, linger through the week. Possible rain chances for tomorrow and Wednesday stands at around 15% wind coming out of the east-southeast at about 10 to 13 miles per hour. Now, Thursday and Friday will be pretty similar to what we're seeing early this week. Thursday and Friday, we're gonna see some sun rays, uh, definitely some clouds, and the temperature is right around 82 again, 71 in the overnight. But the rain's chances begin to increase 24% on Thursday and Friday. And then the big bad weather begins to move in because Saturday the 23rd scattered thunderstorms for much of the day. The high in our area will be 80 degrees, 73 will be that overnight low, and we do have about a 45% chance of rain. And there's just no way to escape it. Winds will be light and bearable from the south to south to the east. I'm talking about you know, thunderstorms probably for a week. Starting uh early Saturday morning. So Sunday we're gonna have thunderstorms as well. 50% chance. Some I mean, you know, living here along the Gulf Coast, you might have rain and thunderstorms for a few hours, and then you know the sun kinda breaks through. And that's what's gonna happen Sunday. The rain will stop at some point, the rain will go away, and the sun will come out. Monday, eighty-two will be the high again, seventy-four will be the overnight and mild. About 70% with thunderstorms for Monday. And clearly it's not gonna leave any time. Tuesday, scattered thunderstorms, 82 will be the high. Wednesday the 27th of May will be 82 with scattered thunderstorms and some sunshine. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and it continues on. Of course, we'll have the latest updated weather for you on Thursday, but trust me when I tell you, it's not all bad. Yes, thunderstorms will be in our area for at least at least ten days. But from what we're seeing, it won't be an all-day storm. We have good chances of the sun breaking through, and maybe a few hours of enjoyment without the rain and the thunder. Like I said, we'll have it all updated for you once again on Thursday when we're back in the studio, and that's your extended weather forecast from Coastal Alabama Radio.

SPEAKER_08

I found you the lighter in my nightstand. That's why I'm thinking of you, I guess. What part of over don't I understand? Cause damn I miss the taste of your cigarette. Yeah, your memory pulls me right back. It's like I forget I can't love you. Can't keep chasing you round, round Mama, I can't need you. Can't keep sharing this bed with you, ghosts every night. Maybe that you kiss left on my lips, oh baby. How do I tell my party they go when I say it? I can't love you.

SPEAKER_02

Just when I think you let me let you go. There's a picture of discovering the stone face. So you laid it up just to see the smallest.

SPEAKER_08

Can't keep sharing this pen with ghost every night. I always heard that there's always one that you can't stop coming back to even when you're done. Love and running. Run and fast. I don't know if I want you, baby food. I want you back. You make me wanna smoke, you make me wanna cool, you make me wanna drink some. You make me wanna wake my heart.

SPEAKER_07

You make me wanna let you make me wet it.

SPEAKER_08

Probably just put my gon' let me up. You make me wanna do tomorrow. You make me wanna make me wanna do tomorrow That's just the long stuff, that's just a memo I'm gonna do that, make one dress. You make me want me, make me wanna drink it, make me wanna have away my heart, make me wanna let you take it wet too. Probably just push my uh Then you gonna let me up, you make me wanna smoke You make me wanna make me wanna smoke me water, let me water I can turn it.

SPEAKER_09

So I'm gonna share We talk about We talk strength We were kings and we were just when I hit bottom That old man raised his glass said at least we've had our chances There's those who never had So here's to all the soldiers who have ever died in bed upon themselves The Holy Star Those who stand on empty shores and spin against the wind and those who wait forever shape the dark coming He said it's only life and jobs that bring us to the spark to pick up these old country and come back to the star Cause the things we're calling hearts the heart We bitch about a dollar when there's those without a dime as he ordered one last round he said I guess we can't complain God made life gamble We're still in the game So here's to all the soldiers that ever died in vain locked up in themselves The homeless comment Those who stand on empty shores stand against the wind those who wait forever for ships the dog coming and those who wait forever for ships the dog coming.

SPEAKER_17

You can donate but donate button We really do need more than so much more organization for free blue ramp, we'll tell the word what's happening and all of that for free.

SPEAKER_02

If you ask me how I'm doing, I'd say just fine.

SPEAKER_09

But the truth is, baby, if you could read my mind, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. After all this time, you're still with me, it's true. Somehow you remain not so deep inside, baby, baby, oh baby, not a day go I feel you for a phone in the middle of the night Thinking you might call me if your dreams don't turn out right and it still amazes me that I lie here in the dark Wishing you next to me if your head hits my heart If you ask me how I'm doing how to stay justified The truth is baby.

SPEAKER_08

Never spread my ways, let you build that out, let you buy that way, if I'd put down my dreams, put you first, I could've been hurt If I'd dyed my hair, if I'd have lost that way, if I'd won that dress, let you change my name, I'd still be waking up in your t-shirt. I could've been home If I'd shut my mouth, think that's mouth, probably could've made it work for a while. Cry in the dark, instead of screaming, there wouldn't be well I stayed on the seal. If I'd buried my feelings, pushed down the road, and let you cheat, I could have been her. With every word you twist, everybody made If I'd just hung around on my work, I could have been home Without a swimming out, baby smile, probably couldn't make it work for a while Cry in the dark, instead of screaming the wooden be red while stays on the wheel. Without baby mouth, boost telling her she that couldn't be home, but that wouldn't be me. That wouldn't be me. If I'd just gave up the standards I had Let you hit your name and beg me on that If I'd just sold my soul for a vegetable I could have been a very fall in love with Tennessee. Put him right back in her arms. I wasn't a match for that kind of spark. She's from Texas, I can tell by the way he's too stepping round the room. And judging by the smile that's written on his face. There's nothing I can do. It doesn't take a crystal ball to see. A cowboy always finds a way to leave, drinking jack all by myself. Just choose and tag, just talking to that. I guess we forgot about the smoking mountain, the mountains blue morning, let's do it. There's nothing I can do. Just when I thought I got in the phone.

SPEAKER_17

SPEAKER_17

This morning at the News of Mother Desktop got some breaking news for you. A Baldwin County motorcyclist was killed in a two-vehicle accident just occurring Saturday at about 10 p.m. Alejandro Cooper 19 was fatally injured when the 2013 Harley Davidson motorcycle that he was riding collided head on with the vehicle. Now that driver was also injured and had to be life-lighted to USA Health in Mobile. According to police, Jennifer A. Stearns, 39 of Gainesville, Georgia, received some critical injuries, but is expected uh to survive. The accident was under investigation. Police haven't really released a whole lot of other details. Mobile police captured a burglary suspect red-handed after receiving a call of a construction site burglary in the 8,000 block of David McCampbell Drive. Police surrounded the area and they were able to apprehend Drew Forrest at 34. Now he's been charged with burglary as well as felony and theft. And he is currently in the Mobile County Jail. Speaking of the Mobile County Jail, a prisoner died while in the custody of the Sheriff's Department. Police say that serious T Aries passed away while being housed in the jail's medical clinic, an investigation's underway, an autopsy's being performed. Not a whole lot of other information available at this time. One person is dead, four other injured. This was in a shooting on O'Donnell Street in Mobile over the weekend. Police say that when they arrived, they found one male deceased, and other females had already been transported to a hospital. This continues to be uh under investigation, but you know, Mobile's seeing a lot of shootings, and I've asked the Mobile Police Department to give us the stats as far as homicides this year as compared to uh the last. Speaking of homicides, unfortunately, Foley Police had a homicide over the weekend. This occurred on the reserve apartment complex on County Road 12. Foley police fire and EMS were sent there after a report of shootings. The victim was identified as Jermaine Snowden, 28. He was found lying in a grassy area near the swimming pool and airlifted to a trauma center in Pensacola where he died. Now, Foley Police requested the Baldwin County Major Crimes Unit to come in and assist them, and they developed information that 20-year-old Traquan Jamel Thompson was a shooter, and a murder warrant was issued. In the meantime, at about 4.15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon yesterday, Thompson was stopped by Comic County law enforcement and taken into custody without incident. He's in the jail up there. He probably has been uh transported back down to Foley by now. Authorities don't have a motive. No other information has been released. A Marlowe community home was destroyed by fire. This happened uh Thursday night at about 7.50. It happened on County Road 28. When firefighters arrived, they found the home fully engulfed. Multiple fire departments did respond. No one was injured. The cause is not known at this time. A vehicle crashed through the front of the Yellow Hammer coffee shop during morning rush hour on Friday. Sitting there on the Dolphin Street coffee shop with a whole line of customers when this guy just kind of barreled in to say good morning, but he came in the wrong way as Marisas were quickly working inside the store filling out customer orders. It was only minor injuries, police are still investigating. Two people were injured on a fishing vessel. This happened way, way out into the Gulf. They had to be rushed by the vessel, and that's not really a rush because it takes hours when you're that far out. Back into the Fort Morgan Marina. The Coast Guard was notified. Fort Morgan Fire and EMS met them at the marina and transported them. One person had severe injuries to the back and neck, and the other one was the uh injuries were not identified. A woman tried to escape police custody after biting and kicking officers. According to police, they responded to a call of the person harassing others when they tried to arrest the 30-year-old Grand Bay woman who police identified. Um Kanty Robinson was her name. She began to arrest arrest uh resist arrest. She's been charged with second-degree assault, third-degree escape, third-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, obstructing a government operations. Oh yes, and public intoxification. Unfortunately, a nurse working in the Tuscaloosa area was shot and killed during a robbery. A lot of healthcare assaults and deaths, unfortunately, are occurring. Say the 27-year-old nurse was identified as Ada Dosh. Police have made an arrest. When you see news happening any place, any place along the Gulf Coast, Mobile or Baldwin County, Pensacola, wherever, please contact us at the news desk at blue rammedia.com. We'll be right back.

SPEAKER_05

I'd be asking for him. I guess it's why he left me waiting in the living room by myself within leaves and does and pictures of her sitting on a shelf. She was playing stand around. She was riding her first bike. Bouncing on the bed and looking for a pillow fight. Running through the sprinkler with a big popsicle grill. Dancing with that. Looking up at him in her eyes, I'm trans charming. But to him I'm just a fan. Riding him, stealing standard. I lean towards those pictures to get a better look at one. When I heard a voice behind me say now, A cheese tough. And I realized it is time.

SPEAKER_21

You still look like an angel. I heard you're doing fine. Got promoted back in April. And you met someone. Your dad says he don't care. Well, I never got no better. And you're going my way. I sleep like a baby. I never don't like a work. I don't break with. I don't know how to flee the work. Goodbye. But you know I'm never lying. She's my moon. She just made a wood. I decided from going on. But at the end of the day. I think I can.

SPEAKER_09

I never go back.

SPEAKER_21

I don't like. I don't know how it feels like no one. I sleep like a black.

SPEAKER_09

I never don't play a word. But I don't play with.

SPEAKER_21

I don't know what I said. Goodbye. Which I could stay on with you. Oh, but you know I never lie.

SPEAKER_18

My sister Katie and I are bargain hunters, but my sister Kelly showed me an article that made me change a really bad habit. I used to buy bargain knockoffs on the street. You mean counterfeit merchandise? And this can lead to more Americans losing their jobs. So no more buying space, right? Right. Just honest bargain ending.

SPEAKER_01

Counterfeits hurt, but you have the power to stop them. Go to www.nc.org forward slash get real. Brought to you by the National Crime Prevention Council and the Bureau of Justice Assistants at the U.S. Department of Justice.

SPEAKER_17

Hey folks, thanks for joining us here on coastal Alabama's newest radio show, Highway 98, where everything is local and all about living on the coast. We're bringing you great music, news, and local events every day, right here on Highway 98. May is a big, big deal around here. That's when Memorial Day officially kicks off the beginning, the start of summer. Ola Parks and Resorts want you to spend some time with them. May 22nd through the 24th. Memorial Day is gonna be a big, big event there. They've got fireworks starting May 23rd, 85, 9 o'clock at night. They've got other things happening there, and they want to make your Memorial Day memorable. Live music, free activities, plenty of places to eat and hang out. Enjoy the outdoors. Just a real perfect way to enjoy the long weekend with friends and family. During the day, you'll be able to catch live music on the O Island. You'll be able to grab a drink. Let the kids enjoy free activities downtown. And in the evening, at night, you'll be able to cap off the night with fireworks shows lighting up the sky Saturday night. Just grab a spot, kick back, enjoy. And you know what? Your evening's gonna go out with a bang, literally. Oh always something happening. Come on down.

SPEAKER_12

When we're responding to emergency runs, we need everybody's help to get there as fast as we can. So when you see the lights, move to the right.

SPEAKER_17

And as with the opening of the radio program, there's a closing. And I think we're at that point where it's time to back on out up here and get on down the road and do some other work. Uh yes, I wear many hats, if you only knew. But it's been fun, enjoyable. I hope that you found it to be. And remember, and this is very, very important. Right now we're at a very high traffic volume throughout Baldwin County and the region. It's that time of year we get a lot of visitors. Spring break is over, but summertime is rolling into the area. That means a lot of visitors, a lot of drivers, some are not, you know, sober. They've been drinking, let's be frank. Some are not paying attention, some are, you know, looking here and there, every place, but in front of them. So you have to have your eyes on the road, you have to have your ears opening, uh so that you know you wanna listen out for what might be coming your way, and of course you want to be sober, not drinking. And if you're driving down any roadway, highway, interstate, county road, you gotta be listening for sirens. Until the next time, we hope you all have a great day. We'll be back here before you know it. In the meantime, stay safe, three blasts, and we will see you back here on the radio.
