Hello and welcome to Coastal Alabama's Highway 98 Radio.
SPEAKER_13Rick McCann behind the microphone. We've got the latest breaking news, extended weather forecast, and great music coming up live, broadcasting from the Blue Ran Media Studios here in Golf Shores, Alabama.
SPEAKER_17I guess you had enough of all of his life.
SPEAKER_06You had the night sunlight.
SPEAKER_17But the only thing that you left for me was this about you more. But the night wasn't loving.
SPEAKER_03Some days are good, some days are fast. We still work hard for what we have. We still give thanks to the man upstairs. All we need is a John Deere and a prayer. Ain't no power in my country. I might talk a little bit funny. Planet in this ground and they front me. They don't play country music these days on the radio. They don't write songs for good old boys like me. Sun beats down and the day is long. Some days it feels like I'm always gone. That's the price I pay. Pay my bills. Three more miles down old John's road. I can smell mama's cooking on stone. It's hard working life is all we know. Ain't no path in my country. I might stop this funny. Spoots won out like these old blue chin. I love action. Planet in this ground and they run this. Ain't no power in my country. I might talk a little bit funny. These boots on like these old blue jeans. And I love pearl hack. My roots they ain't all sky. Planted in this ground and they run deep. They don't play country music these days on the radio. They don't write songs for good old boys like me. I still love your country music.
SPEAKER_04Too many. Now it's my turn for crying. I never earned the love she gave me. One day she just stopped trying. For a moment I grew up. Now I know. That's the word. I fell in love all over. That's the top. I wanted her more. I burned out the door. I don't know. All the work just down the purple. It's all forget the windows when you were alone. All over again. All over again. Just seamlessly.

The NCAA volleyball championship. It has come to town numerous times. I think it took a break for a couple of years, and now it's back. This is really an attraction that many people love.
SPEAKER_16Down in my hometown, we're bumping barbecues in a white t-shirt. Down to make a hometown, we're on a stubborn first name. They said we're all heaven bound, even though we love a little bit of hell raised down. Start a bone fire. Here we go again.
SPEAKER_09Your friends don't like this dream on cheese. I leave it sticking to girl that I know.
SPEAKER_13Moments away. Do you like music? I mean, do you really like music? Have you ever considered where that music comes from? It comes from great songwriters. For a long, long time, many singers didn't write their own songs. And they depended on people across the nation and around the world actually to write their songs. And I'll tell you there's a fantastic new event happening here along the Alabama Gulf Coast. You're gonna want to be part of it. The rainfall of a local phone rider entertainer crystal will be from new menu. It'll give you the opportunity to local phone riders and phone riders coming in for this. Run down the holders, but give them a call or check them out online because this sounds like a fun, fun. And it's the first, the first annual event.
SPEAKER_08Bring your stories, bring some wine, bring your tears we've got all night. Seems like it's been forever since we made the time. Leave your makeup, leave your heels, come as you are, you know we keep it real.
SPEAKER_06I know your heart's needed just as much as mine Don't have to watch what you say, don't have to stay in your leg, don't have to don't want to keep you in your late. We don't have to wind up cry, it's okay to not be all the light. Walk in the dog's buttons, right?
SPEAKER_08Too tired of pre-walk at all out of need of girls lighting If yo, if you'll win on top of the world, know your world stops spinning Oh you're welcome at my table, you'll fit riding We're all broke, we're all men, we've all been right where you're spinning on the Put you back together again Don't have to watch what you say, don't have to stay in your leg, don't keep up to that Don't have to watch what I say, don't have to stay in my lane, no rules and no one cry, don't get all right, walk in the dog, don't do the prize, you're listening to Coastal Alabama Radio, broadcasting right here in the Blue Ram Media Studios in Golf Shores, Alabama.
SPEAKER_12Welcome aboard.
SPEAKER_13And once again, I'm at the News and Weather Desk in the Blue Ram Media Studios with that brand new weather forecast, of course. And I'll tell you what, I'll tell you what you can say one of those rainy weeks I don't care. I know many of you are as well. You know the difference between the rain. We got about 35% of rain for the Monday again morning, morning in the afternoon, Tuesday once again. We're gonna have all of that weather forecast when we come back into the studio in a couple of days. Remember, the rain is good, and I love the rain, I love to be out in the rain, I love to know that the rain is doing uh really a good job for our farmers. And all of that. Smile and keep on going. And that's the extended weather forecast on the coast of Alabama.
SPEAKER_11Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one rudder-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it, don't swim against the current, try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.
SPEAKER_01When we're responding to emergency runs, we need everybody's help to get there as fast as we can. So when you see the lights, move to the right.
SPEAKER_05The home team kneels when the other team's down. When a hearse drives by, pull to the side of the road. Around here everyone knows. Like a pocket knife, heart carved in an old tree. Your word and your name means everything.
SPEAKER_06Around here we speak, we're red, six days of work, one day of rest, boom, ground, prayers in the air on Sunday. Yeah, we speak drunk.
SPEAKER_05Don't understand our twin both where I'm sitting, we're all in the spanking. Tryna stay afloat. One do one red.
SPEAKER_06One day's rest. Six days of work, one day of rest.
SPEAKER_07Not I ain't bringing no roses. Talking would take too much time. I think I just better show you. Let's get right down to it. I don't want to be at a girl. I can't wait. My hands are needing your lips. Sock all the doors. Baby, I need you to die. See how much I want you in the way Baby, that don't mean it I don't love to go out and down you. That ain't on the menu tonight. Cause I think I need to remind you. The joke skin on my skin feels just like heaven to me. You look like an angel of mine. I want you in the worst way. My hands are needing your hips.
SPEAKER_06Want the first teams Whiskey off your lips. So the doors for the wind.
SPEAKER_07Baby, I need you. Let's see how much do we make. I want you in the worst way I want you in the worst way I want you in the worst way. My hands are meeting your hips on the first taste. Two meal whiskey right over your lips. So close all the winds, lock all the doors, put away anything that'll break.
unknownBaby, I need you to know.
SPEAKER_07Let's see how much we make I want you in the worst.
unknownI want you to have the worst.
SPEAKER_06But you wouldn't let it go.
SPEAKER_16I'll admit that I'm known, but you won't let me know.
SPEAKER_06I have to let you go. Why don't you just keep me out? Why don't you just keep me out?
SPEAKER_16If I could just fix me, we could lose all this pace. All I have to say is next thing again.
SPEAKER_06Why don't you just keep me out?
SPEAKER_16I was tired of thinking how we could talk. Going over all the words in my mind. It was not good for my own so I had to leave it all behind. I had to do what was right. I'll admit that I won't, but you won't let me know. I stand away with yourself.
SPEAKER_06I have to let you go. Why don't you just heave? Meow Why don't you just heat me?
SPEAKER_16If I could just explain, we can lose all this pain. All I have to say is Why don't you just keep Why don't you just give me time?
SPEAKER_06If you just give me this Why don't you just keep it? Why don't you just keep it? We can lose all this pay. All I have to say is why don't you just get around the time?

The Golf Coast alone twenty twenty three corner down the three people. Right here at the end of this month. Starting on the thirty and going through Saturday. We are definitely I know I'm definitely heading down there, and you should too.
SPEAKER_00So you think you can beat a train? Well, think again. Even at low speeds, trains can cause serious injuries or death. You must slow down and yield when you approach all railroad crossings. If a train is approaching, always stop behind the solid white line or at least fifteen feet from the crossing. Never stop on the tracks. It's the law and it can save your life. Proceed only when the train has cleared the area and no other trains are approaching. Please be safe at all railroad crossings. And remember, never stop on the track.
SPEAKER_12Slow down. Slow down. And move over.
SPEAKER_06I guess she's busy playing hard to get back. So I bought roses and her favorite wine. Thinking we'd be making up in old time. But I'm parked out here on her street. Looks like the joke's on me. Sittin' here, I can't believe what I just saw. Couple shadows kissing off. Bedroom walls. Looking like my plan didn't work out at all. Or break turning the broker. So now I'm finding out how to break taste with the silver road 1998. Drinking cabinet solo. Cause it's the nicest bottle that I ever played for. But then again, if I had that money back, I'd just find a bar and go run up a tap. I could go for a whiskey, I could go for a beer. But hell I'm already here. What I just saw. Couple shadows kissing off. Looking like my brain didn't work out at all. On break turning a broker. Now I'm finding hell hell on breakfast. We'll just still not take a drinking cabinet solo. In the cab of my truck. Man, I swear I can't believe what I just saw. Couple shadows kissing off. Smoking like my brain work out returning a broker Now I'm finding hell, hell great taste. We'll still not be a drinking cabinet solo. Solo in the cabin of my truck. Yeah, I'm drinking cabinet solo. Solo in the cabin of my truck. What if everything like the new world All my exes live in Texas?
SPEAKER_04And Texas is a place I really love to be, but all my exes live in Texas.
SPEAKER_17And that's why I hang my head in Tennessee. Rosanna's down in Texas camera. Wanted me to push her around. Sweet Eileen's never lean. She forgot I hung the moon.
SPEAKER_06And now the sons and garestone somehow lost her sanity. And dimples who now lives in Timples got the loan looking for me.
SPEAKER_04All my exes live in Texas. And Texas is the place I didn't love to be, but all my exes live in Texas.
SPEAKER_17And that's why I hang my head in Tennessee.
SPEAKER_12Where I learned to swim.
SPEAKER_17But it brings to mind another time where I wore my welcome thing. By transcendental meditation, I go there each night, but I always come back to myself.
SPEAKER_06All my exes live in Texas. Texas is the place I didn't love to be, but all my exes live in Texas. And before I reside in Tennessee, some folks think I'm mad.
SPEAKER_17But I'm alive and well in Tennessee.
SPEAKER_06Driving in the car or on the app. Thanks for listening. If you play the guitar, I'll be the band on that.

SPEAKER_06Ice creates a water that's no longer running under it. Trying to forget That's what happens in the home and talk Friday night, it's a given I think on the park top in the car. If you hadn't been there, where would I be? Without you trust everybody the ups and downs with always and I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there. If you hadn't been, who would I be? You always see the best in me. Your loving arms have claimed me. You have me clothes, and I wouldn't be here if you had been open. No, I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there. I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there pushing me on when I was scared. I felt that you have care and forgiving me with my respect. You made me die and touch the step. I wouldn't be here. I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there. Oh, I wouldn't be here if you hadn't been there.
SPEAKER_10Hi, I'm Leon the Lightning Lion, here to tell you when thunder roars, go indoors. Thunder is loud, but lightning is dangerous and can hurt you even before it rains. When you hear thunder, go indoors quickly. And for a house, school, or large building, if you're going outdoors, get in a car, truck, or bus, never go under a tree. Stay off telephones, computers, and video games. Remember, play it safe. When thunder roars, go indoors. And here's the exit. You know, Johnny, he has six beers in already. This is not gonna end well. Steve, he's rumbling, bubbling, stumbling all over the place. And oh, that can't be good.
SPEAKER_00Look at that sloppy key action. That's gonna draw a penalty. Drinking, driving, possible$1,500 fine, and one year in jail.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, Steve, that was a good call by the ref. One bad decision totally changes the game. You know what just goes to show if you drink and you drive, nobody wins.
SPEAKER_13If you live in Orange Beach and you like that new sport that everyone seems to be picking up these days, pickleball. Well, this is big news. Because on May the 7th, which is Thursday, the Orange Beach Pickleball complex will hold a grand opening and ribbon recording ceremony. Right behind the record, the mind would be away. The country will be open to the public with no resolution. And if you play pickleball, you might want to go check it out.
SPEAKER_06Some skies shine. Troubles always been a friend of mine. Ain't nothing new, so I ain't scared. The wind can take me it no matter where. So I won't run. When a room as I said, you can bet I'm probably mad. I've been up and I've been sober. Then come between the bread. A maybe a baby win. So I'm a big in my house.
SPEAKER_03Still here you are. All again, all again, all again.
SPEAKER_06The worst and the best, that I've ever been. I hope they know I did it. Whatever as I said, you can bet I brought the man. I'll get up and sober. Let me come between the bread and the seven. I may be losing.
SPEAKER_15I may be winning.
SPEAKER_06Shall come between the bread and the sick. So I'm out here.
SPEAKER_02They think the anthem just another song. Some don't respect the dirt that they walk on. Well, that ain't gonna be me. I'm gonna put my hand up. I'm gonna stand up for what I believe. That ain't gonna be me. I'm gonna put my boot down. I gotta stand my ground till they bury me. If you're looking for a man to give you an apology, well that ain't gonna be me.
SPEAKER_15I see folks that think the whole world owes them something. They're loading down their nose at those with callous hands.
SPEAKER_06When a sister or a brother, some stranger is in trouble. Today they don't give a damn. That ain't gonna be big. One more day, they're all running together. One more day, they're all starting to look the same. Ain't no sun, ain't no blue sky, the wind blows old. Now the chief gone away, and tomorrow just like today, there's a hundred percent chance of rain.
SPEAKER_04Yesterday Oh little time a laugh for all that love said it hurt you to give up all my love.
SPEAKER_06Oh, but look what it's doing to me. Ain't no sun, ain't no blue sky the window's old. Now the way that we're gonna do it.
SPEAKER_13Thanks for joining us here on coastal Alabama's newest radio show, Highway 98, where everything is local and all about living on the coast. We're bringing you great music, news, and local events every day, right here on Highway 98. And once again, this year, an event, that many people really do look forward to and that is world rotary every year. Email enjoyable, enjoyable. I am getting ready to slip on out the door and head down the road to one of my other jobs. You know, we all have so much going on. It's kind of hard sometimes to keep up with it, but uh I have kept up with this uh program today, and uh hope that y'all enjoyed it. We did have a lot of great music, and I did talk about a lot of things happening, and you know what else I want to talk about? I want to talk about you driving. Whether you're on the county road or on the interstate or wherever it might be, we want to make sure that you get home safe and our first responders get home safe. So if you're driving on down the road and you hear sirens and you see lights, you gotta pull to the right. That's the law, the right thing to do, and it's gonna get everybody to where they're going safely. Remember, if you see a tow truck on the side of the road helping someone, hooking up to a vehicle or an 18-wheeler or whatever might be over there, you gotta pull to the left just like they were an emergency vehicle. The law recognizes tow trucks to be uh an emergency vehicle, and you have to uh abide by that law. That's gonna wrap it up for sure on this Monday morning, the 4th of May 2026. But I'll be back in just a few days, broadcasting once again from our studio in Gulf Shores, Alabama, along the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast. But until then, y'all stay safe, be blessed. I'll see you right back here on the radio.
