Well, it's been some time. You still look like an angel. I heard you're doing fine. Got promoted back in April, and you met someone. Your dad says he's okay. Well, I've never been a better. Things are going my way. I sleep like a baby. I never show a place for work. I don't think whiskey. I don't know how it feels to hurt. But I've been lonely since you said goodbye. Wish I could say I'm missing. But you know I never lie. Yeah, I meant somebody too. She's a model at an LA. And she's begging me to move. She says my boy's really great. I decided if I'm going or not. But at the end of the day, I sleep like a baby. I never show up late for work. I don't think whiskey. I don't know how it feels to hurt. Since you said goodbye. Wish I could say a mission. Watching no one never lie. I've never been in the letter. Things are going my way. I sleep like a baby. I never show up late for work. But I don't drink whiskey. I don't know how it feels to hurt. Since you said goodbye. Wish I could say I miss you. Oh, but you know I never lie. She's more than just a pretty face. And a late night bar. More than just a pair of tight jeans. Sittin' in your car. She's more than a last call kiss. Or a one-night stain. For a member boy, you weren't the first to hold her hand. She's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's everything. She's somebody's little girl, even if she's grown up and moved away. She's somebody's board. She's somebody's baby. And if you don't treat her right, her gon' be the only heart you'll break in. She's somebody's daughter. Her daddy bought her her first car. Taught her how to drive. Scared her senior. Promate under that porch. Let her mama wiped away the tears. From my first heartbreak. And said, honey, he ain't good enough for you anyway. She's somebody's dog. She's somebody's every. She's somebody's little curly but if she's gonna do it. She somebody's gone. She's somebody's baby. Maybe don't treat her out of her only on your baby. She's somebody's gonna She's somebody's dog. She's a picture of a man up above a fireplace. She's pigtails blowin' out candles on a birthday cake. She's a driving off the cottage, tear in her mama's eyes. Yeah, she's a daddy's girl. Better treat her right, cause she's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter. Yeah. She's somebody's home. She's somebody's baby. If you don't treat her out, hers won't be the only odds you'll break it. She's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter. Yes, she's somebody's daughter. She's somebody's daughter.

Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruthery-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.

TV on a western, fast asleep, gray in his hair, at least what's left, but the heart of a lion beating in his chest. And there's a little more slow in his go, little less rock in his roll. These days. But I remember him ten feet tall and bulletproof. Throwing me a ball in cowboy boots, a whistle and the dog started running. A whisper in mama starts blush, wrenching his hand and appearing the other. I couldn't make a man any tough. And that is on his chest, just starting to fade. But I'll always remember him that way. But the heart of a lion beating in his chest. There's a little more slow in his gold, little less rock in his roll. These days. But I remember him ten feet tall and bulletproof. Throwing me a ball in cowboy boots. A whistle in the doll started running. A whisper in mama starts blushing. Wrenching his hand and a fear in the other. I couldn't make a man any tuber. And that is on his chest, just starting to fade. But I'll always remember him that away. TV on the western, fast asleep. Gray in his hair, at least was left. But the heart of a lion beating in his chest. There's a little more slow in his go. Little less rock in his roll. These days. But I remember him ten feet tall and bulletproof. SPEAKER_17

Coco Alabama's all new, Highway 98 Radio.

SPEAKER_18

And once again, I am sitting here at the news and weather desk in the Blue Ryan Media Studio. And I'm looking at your extended weather forecast beyond 10 days, and it's looking pretty good. It is springtime, so we do have that chance of showers, of course. But for the rest of today, we have mostly sunny and a little bit of clouds in the area. We're gonna see highs about 77 degrees today, and the overnight's gonna be a nice mild 63 degrees with only a very slight chance, 6 to 10% of any showers. Winds will be coming out of the southeast at about 11 to 14 miles per hour, and in the overnight, 8 to 10. Not so bad. Tuesday will be much like today with a little bit more sun moving into the area. Tuesday's high will be 77 degrees. We're looking at a very mild overnight Tuesday, 65 will be that low, and only about a 5% chance of rain during the day or evening, so nothing really there to worry about at all. Winds calm for the most part, five to eight miles per hour. During the midweek, sunny most of the time, but we will have some clouds moving in with a little bit greater chance of rain, not too much, about 10 to 15 percent on your Wednesday. The high will be 77 degrees once again in the overnight, a very mild 66. Open those windows, get some of that fresh air in. Only a 7 to 10% chance of any sprinkles in our area on Wednesday. Winds will be blowing 9 to 12 miles per hour. Again, that's just a light breeze for us. It'll be coming out of the south to southeast, so it'll be warm. Thursday looking a little bit cloudy, although the sun will prevail with a 78-degree high and a 67-degree low. How nice is that? Wind blowing about 8 to 10 miles per hour, nothing to worry about, just a slight sprinkle if that in the area. Friday will be totally sunny, upwards of 79 to 80 degrees will be the high on Friday, and a very mild on 67 in the overnight, and about a 7 to 9% chance of rain. Really no big deal whatsoever. We will have some clouds moving in for the weekend, but don't let that stop you from getting out there because there'll be some sunshine mixed in as well. The high on both days, Saturday and Sunday, will be 78 degrees. Very, very, very nice. The overnight about 66 on both nights. We will have a greater chance of rain uh for the weekend. And when I say greater, I'm talking about 10 to 15 percent. Really, that's not much to worry about at all. Maybe a shower here or there, but nothing major. Definitely no thunderstorms. Wind blowing well, about 8 to 12 miles per hour coming out of the north. Northwest. That could bring a little cooler weather, but nothing to worry about. Monday, once again, will be mostly cloudy, uh some sunshine. Again, the high will be 77 during the daytime, 66 in the overnight. Next week, in the middle of the week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, we do have some showers coming in, possibly even for the weekend. Of course, I'll have all of that updated for you when we get back on here the next time, but for the time being, just relax because overall, this is definitely spring weather here in the coastal area of Alabama. Just enjoy it. And that is your way.

SPEAKER_13

He said, I don't know your story. I just know you look lonely. Fancy that come alone me too. We both got our reasons, no reason to share them. Let's just dance, hold me closer to you, maybe just for tonight. Tell me you love me, and tell me you need me. I know we both know it ain't true, and I'll whisper you everything. I never wanted I'll pretend if you pretend to tell me. You love me, use me like I'm using you. She said, Don't ask for my number, and I won't ask for yours. Some things are best left alone. So just kiss me again. Like kiss me over again. Like there's no one waiting at home. Tell me you love me. Tell me keep me. I know we both know it ain't true. And I whisper your everything. I won't. I'll pretend if you pretend to tell me, love me, use me. I can use it. How about it? How pretend if you pretend to tell me you love me and use me like I'm using you like I'm using?

SPEAKER_05

Where do you go when your eyes cross over? Who are you with when your mind's shoulder? Why is it cold when I'm on your shoulder? Who you think you foolin'? Baby, you ain't doing me no favour, trying to put off the paper later. Already written across your face. You're playing a game and I'm losing.

SPEAKER_02

Stopping me in my butt. What's the cover?

unknown

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

I'll be my chest up. You're downright dangerous. That shaking kiddy up. Got my eyes on the boy. Don't talk to her. Dang, girl, I'm done. I ain't never seen no one. Drop it in the lock of the wall. Drop it down like all. Don't be the last.

SPEAKER_13

Don't need to be out of that. Don't need to be that.

SPEAKER_18

SPEAKER_13

She's answered by tail lights shining through the window pane. He said, I wanna see her again, but I'm stuck in colder weather. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Can I call you then? She said, You're a ram man, you ain't ever gonna change. You got a gypsy soul to blame and you were born for leaving. Had a truck stop diner just outside a lake. The night is black, coffee he was drinking, and then the waitress eyes he sees the same old light is shining, the face of Colorado, and a girl in there behind him. He said, I wanna see you again, but I'm stuck in colder weather. Maybe tomorrow will be better. Can I call you then? She said you're around a man. You ain't ever gonna change. You got a gypsy soul to blame, and you were born for leaving. Contact us, helpdesk at bluermedia.com. In the first day of April, the Japan police department reported making DUI arrest. And I'm telling you, uh as far as our county goes, I think Daphne is probably the most active police agency that is stopping those who are a danger to themselves and to other drivers on the road. Aaron McKay Ragsdale was arrested near Van Buren Street on the first day of the month at about eleven thirty for a traffic violation and police said that you know once they got him pulled over they found out that he actually was under the influence and they did take him into custody. On the second day No, not at Christmas, Alan Ryan Swary was arrested on US 98 at Walmart, at the entrance to Walmart. Police said that they stopped him also for traffic infractions and they while they had him pulled over, they were investigating and found that he too was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, arrested, and transported to the Daphne jail at the Justice uh Center. Now, on the fourth day of April, police arrested Jason Carl Parley on US 98 Bayline Drive. Again, stopping him shortly after midnight. They discovered, at first they just pulled him over for traffic uh violations, but they discovered that he too was under the influence of alcohol. Um, after doing some uh tests, field tests, they took him into custody. He's been charged with DUI alcohol, transported to the Justice Center, and uh later on released. He has to appear, of course, in court. Also on the fourth, this occurred about 146 in the morning. Police noticed William Jason Northcut driving uh in a in a manner that was uh against the law, and they pulled him over for several uh traffic attractions, and they found that he too was under the influence on US-98 uh near the Welsh Fargo. Police said they discovered that he was under the influence of alcohol and he too was uh under arrest and he's been transported to the jail. Besides people driving drunk, people walk around drunk. Ryan Mark Hensley was arrested for being publicly intoxicated. This was on Park Drive at 3 12 in the morning. Police also arrested Alberta, the Beatrice Gilling. This happened at the top of the bay for public intoxication. Jonathan Hoffman's altar arrested for public intoxication, also at the top of the bay. Meghan Lachey, England, arrested at the same time, about 15 minutes after the hour, midnight, on the 5th of uh April at the top of the bay. And to round it out, Mark Garrett Posey was arrested after police stopped him on Frederick Boulevard for traffic infractions at 2 33 in the morning, and they discovered that he too was under the influence of alcohol. Now he was also arrested and taken in to the justice system, booked in, and uh, of course he has to go to court, and also Sean Michael Ryan was arrested on Main Street near Van Buren at about 11 50 P.M. on the 5th of April. Shawn Michael Ryan now faces charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to jail and later released with the court date. Uh don't come through Daphne. Don't drive period when you're under the influence, but you know uh Daphne is on it. Uh that's all that I can say from everything that I read about this department. Their traffic enforcement is pretty straight and pretty on it, and and you know, first of all, you shouldn't be under the influence, you shouldn't be driving intoxicated or high. Uh you put yourself in danger, you put the uh citizens in danger, so I I'm all for it. Good job, Daphne P D.

SPEAKER_23

Let your family know you want to be an organizer.

SPEAKER_13

Right before my wishing well went bright. Seemed every which way I go. There's a black cat crossing the road, played the lottery with last month's rent. I'm still waiting on my ship to come in. Bad luck was always hanging around. A good role was always letting me down. But you came along, now it's gone. Oh long, bad luck. My first love said she'd love me for life. Slipped out one night and never told me goodbye. My second love convinced me love again. My third and fourth went crazy as hell. I even bought a rabbit's foot, but that didn't go. Bad luck was always hanging around. Good roll was always let me down. And every reason in the world did give up. You came along now, it's gone, so long, bad luck. My lucky four-lift clover, forced you over my shoulder. Come on, Evan, girl, I'm lucky I found you. Bad luck was always hanging around. Good rowers always let me down. Every reason in the world to give up. But you came along and always don't bad luck. So long bad luck.

SPEAKER_08

Think something better's gonna come. He'll drive you crazy because he can You won't stay mad because you can He's gonna love you Make you feel like you don't want to Keep you there, make you fall asleep, in the tree tree sun, you wanna feel sad Take it from me if you wanna only look sad. If you wanna wear a scar, take a look at her. I'll show you a heart that's still burns because he's like it doesn't fade away.

SPEAKER_03

Make it feel he's gonna love you.

SPEAKER_08

He's gonna love you. He's gonna love you. Make you feel like we're gonna be able to do it.

SPEAKER_01

I don't want to put in my leg.

SPEAKER_22

I don't want to have food. I'm controlling my diabetes.

SPEAKER_23

Control your diabetes. Oh, one eight hundred four three eight hundred, five three eighty three.

SPEAKER_21

And here's the exit. You know, Johnny, he has six beers in already. This is not gonna end well. Steve, he's rumbling, bubbling, stumbling all over the place. And oh, that can't be good. Look at that sloppy key action.

SPEAKER_00

That's gonna draw a penalty. Drinking, driving, possible$1,500 fine, and one year in jail.

SPEAKER_21

Yeah, Steve, that was a good call by the ref. One bad decision totally changes the game. You know what just goes to show if you drink and you drive, nobody wins.

SPEAKER_18

We had a person the other day ask us if it's safe to go down to the beaches or down to Gulf Shores, and um a resident, someone who's lived here. They say they've always done it during spring break, other years, but this year seems to be a little bit more violent, more craziness, and definitely more people being arrested, and they just don't want to get in the mix. And I can definitely understand that. I've been in the area, I've seen some of the going-ons, and of course, um having a uh a news company, we are on top of the news, we publish all of the latest news, and I can tell you there have been a lot more arrests this year. I would say probably double from last year, 2025. The arrests were just around a hundred or so. This year it's already well over 200 total arrests, and I expect there'll probably be uh another 50 to 100, maybe more. But we're seeing that nationwide, Daytona Beach, Virginia Beach, even over on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and elsewhere, a lot more teenagers trying to take over the beaches. Uh, some of them are carrying firearms, some of them are being uh, you know, underage and being high, being drunk. It happens, but it is happening much more. As far as that question, is it safe? I believe it is. I I don't think that as long as you're not there between, you know, late afternoon and the evening, and as long as you're not partying with the kids, then you're fine. I do want to tell you that uh, you know, there's a lot more traffic, obviously, and there's going to be some uh, you know, things happening probably more each year that we're just not accustomed to. I've been here since 1989, so I can tell you that in the earlier years, spring break was light, traffic was light, and it almost felt like nothing special was happening. But that certainly has changed. As far as that question, again, I do believe it's safe. I believe Gulf Shores Police and all of our local agencies are doing a great job enforcing the law. You can't you know lock up everybody, you can't uh ticket everybody, but you certainly can do um targeted enforcement. I believe that yes. For now anyway. For now, anyways, the beaches are safe. And once again it's that time as I look at the clock. Yeah, I know. Looking at the clock, they say is just making things worse. Maybe you shouldn't wear a a watch. But albeit, here we are at the end of another radio program. We're so happy that you joined us. So glad that you are listening, maybe by streaming or whatever the case might be. We broadcast live, but we stream it across the iHeart Radio Network and more than 40 other platforms. Remember, we really would appreciate it if you would tell your friends, family, coworkers, and anybody else who will listen about the radio show. It definitely is a local professionally produced program, and of course, people listen across the web, all around the country, and even in other Countries. Until the next time, remember, wherever you are driving, please slow down, number one. Don't drink and drive, number two. And if you see light sirens, you gotta pull to the right. That's the law. Don't just slow down, you really have to pull over. Get all of our first responders to where they're going because they're definitely responding to an emergency. Until the next time, we want you all to stay blessed, be happy, and uh come back to the radio show. Until the next time, have a great rest of the week, and I'll see you back on the radio.
