Help you plan your if you're here on vacation or your work days or whatever it might be, but for the rest of today, we're gonna have mostly sunny, but from the clouds are gonna continue to linger around. 75 will be the high. The low overnight will be 60 degrees. And the wind are white red at 10 to 20 miles per hour. We'll have a couple of shower chances, maybe five to ten percent throughout the day and into the evening. Wind will continue blowing throughout the night at about 10 miles per hour. What's up for the weekend? Well, actually, I've got some pretty great news because there's a lot of things happening in the area, of course, over the weekend. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the high will be right around 78 degrees all three days. And the overnight is very calm and mildly 65. In the overnight hours, I'm telling you what, I'm gonna have my windows open. I don't know about you, but it's gonna be sunny during the daytime and mild in the overnight. We only have in those three days, we only have about a six percent chance of any rain. Now the wind will be blowing a little bit of red, and they have been really for about a week. But you know, six to fifteen miles per hour, depending. You know, it's not gonna be steady all day. But there's nothing to complain about. We can definitely get out there and enjoy ourselves over the weekend. And if you're visiting, we still have some spring breakers in the area. It'll definitely be a pleasant weekend. On Monday, as we get on back to work, we're looking at almost highs around 80 degrees during the Tuesday on Monday, 68 degrees in the overnight. On Monday evening, we'll have mostly sunny but some clouds as well, and we will have a slight 10 to 15% chance of rain showers. That doesn't mean anything big, we're not gonna have thunderstorms, a couple of sprinkles here and there. Tuesday will be a little cloudier, but we're also gonna see some sunshine. 78 will once again be the high 66 in the overnight. Once again, those rain showers kind of hanging around. Wind blowing out of the north with east at about 16 miles per hour. On Wednesday, we have a greater chance of rain, but nothing major. Again, no thunderstorms, no big thunder booms or big uh, you know, rainfall. Wednesday will be for the most part sunny with some clouds. 78 will be the high, 67 in the overnight. About a 25% chance of rain. And uh, you know, as I used to say this word, I I I don't use it, but I will get it for Thursday. 78. Once again, Thursday, 66 in the overnight. We're gonna have some mostly cloudy but some sunshine with rain falling at about 25%. Wind blowing south-southeast at about 10 to 12 miles per hour. And as we move into another weekend, well, Friday the 17th, Saturday the 18th, and Sunday the 19th, mostly sunny with some clouds, and all three days we'll see a slight chance of rain, maybe 15 to 20 percent, nothing major. And of course, when we get back in the studio, we'll have the most current updated weather forecast, extended weather forecast for you from Coastal Alabama Radio. And that's gonna be your upcoming forecast for the extended period of time.
SPEAKER_04I've had my dances with people, but I still bow my head not pray when I get lonely. I start talking. Some days it feels like to the wall. I hear those hell hands start crawling. Tell me, heaven, are you listening? Do you know that I'm back? Cause life is pushing to my limits. Now I'm just barely giving back. Oh, I can take much more before I start giving. Why are you listening? I think that I need forgiveness. I face your judgment for my faults. I got no business being wretched, but I'll do my best until the kingdom calls. I just took it to my lady. I'm just very good. Oh I can't stop eating. Why you listen? I can do still contrast.
SPEAKER_05Tell me if you laugh at you by the limit.
SPEAKER_04I'm just barely giving back. Oh, I'm still grateful for this life that I've been living. But I can't wait much more before I start giving. So why you listen? I'm nina be perfectly. I never get alone. I got these goals to keep me company. I took three of you off with it so forth, so I only see him in front of me. Now the past is out of sight and out of mine. So I change now. I'm just a little from you get down. I'm too If you ever come away from the home. I guess I'm just a little right at the road These people These people pretend to be my friend. I'm done for the best. I'm tired of myself again. I'm talking to you. Driving in the car or on the app. Thanks for listening. If it plays the guitar, I'll be command on that.
SPEAKER_08Coco, Alabama is all new. I wait 90 years.
SPEAKER_06Rip currents cause an estimated 100 deaths each year in the United States. In 2021, five of these deaths were on the Gulf Coast. Rip currents are the number one ruthery-related killer at the beaches along the northern Gulf Coast. The number of rip current fatalities on these beaches is more than the fatalities of flooding, tornadoes, lightning, and tropical storms or hurricanes combined. Learn the facts. Before heading out to the beach, check current beach conditions and know what each flag means. Always swim near a lifeguard. Rip currents are narrow currents that flow away from the beach. If you notice you're being pulled away from the beach and are swimming and getting tired, you may be in a rip current. Think of it like a treadmill that you can't turn off. You want to step to the side of it. Don't swim against the current. Try to swim across it in a direction following the shoreline. Rip currents do not pull you under, but may take you as far out as a football field so people can tire quickly. The most important thing is to stay calm. If you can't escape the current, float or calmly tread water. Wave for help if you can. Rip current's strength eventually subsides and may even take you closer to shore. If you see someone caught in a rip current, call 911 or get a lifeguard and throw something that floats towards the victim. For more information, please visit www.visitalbeaches.com slash safety.
SPEAKER_09You might have wondered what to become of the Foley Beach Express name. Now that there is no subject place. Well wonder no more because the Foley City Council has voted this week to go ahead and just retain that name that's iconic to our area. Foley Beach Express lives on the official roadway name within the city limit. You know, a couple of years ago. Well last year. 2025. And it's been designated by Alabama 161. Local address will not be required to change. According to Foley, city engineer Taylor Davis, we talked about it. And the city worked closely with the county 911 system to ensure that the beach express names remained valid for addressing purposes. He noted that several major routes in Foley carried both state and local names, including Alabama 59, which officially infole is McKenzie Street. And of course US 98 is Laurel Avenue. And we see that not only here across Mobile and Baldwin Counties, but really nationwide, you might be on a state road that um you know would want to name something else. In fact 181, Highway 181 as it meanders through uh Daphne and going down the Fairhope. You know, that was County Road 27, way back yonder when I came back and moved down permanently. But you know what? As far as people in Foley is concerned, Foley Beach Express will and is and shall be the official name of that road. SPEAKER_00So you think you can beat a train? Well, think again. Even at low speeds, trains can cause serious injuries or death. You must slow down and yield when you approach all railroad crossings. If a train is approaching, always stop behind the solid white line or at least 15 feet from the crossing. Never stop on the tracks. It's the law and it can save your life. Proceed only when the train has cleared the area and no other trains are approaching. Please be safe at all railroad crossings. And remember, never stop on the tracks.
